BASE & DEGI Welcome New Members from Across the Home Entertainment Ecosystem

8th July 2026: The British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE) and DEGI: The Digital Entertainment Group International today announce a new wave of members joining their growing international community, further strengthening the end-to-end Home Entertainment value chain across digital and physical.

Representing organisations across content creation, distribution, technology, retail, services and infrastructure, BASE and DEGI bring together one of the most comprehensive cross-industry networks in Home Entertainment, creating a unique forum for collaboration, insight and innovation.

As consumer behaviours, technologies and the entertainment landscape continue to evolve, BASE and DEGI play a leading role in connecting the businesses shaping the future of entertainment, championing growth across both digital and physical formats.

These additions reflect the continued evolution of the sector, bringing together expertise across media services, packaging innovation, technology infrastructure and communications.

New members include Scanavo (BASE), SDVI (BASE & DEGI), and DP World (BASE) each bringing specialist expertise from across the Home Entertainment ecosystem. Together, they further strengthen the end-to-end Home Entertainment value chain, spanning media services, packaging innovation, technology infrastructure, logistics and strategic communications.

Scanavo

Scanavo is a global leader in premium packaging solutions for physical media, best known for its SteelBook® format, which has become a benchmark for collectability and design innovation in the Home Entertainment market. Working with major studios and partners worldwide, Scanavo continues to elevate the value of physical releases through high-quality, consumer-focused packaging.

Annette Ljungberg, Director of Creative & Operations – Europe, Scanavo, said:

“Scanavo’s decision to join BASE was important because it reinforces the company’s strong commitment to the future of physical media. With a clear focus on premium physical releases, Scanavo can contribute with deep expertise in packaging and innovation, where SteelBook® plays a key role in enhancing collectability and consumer value. Being part of BASE allows Scanavo to collaborate closely with industry partners to strengthen and evolve the physical entertainment market.”

As part of the partnership, Scanavo will also sponsor a new category at the 2026 BASE Awards – Best in Class: SteelBook® Release and have proposed producing the award itself as a bespoke SteelBook®, further underlining their commitment to innovation and craftsmanship within the category.

SDVI

SDVI provides cloud-native supply chain solutions that enable media companies to efficiently manage, process and deliver content at scale. Their platform supports leading broadcasters, studios and streaming services, helping streamline workflows and optimise content operations across an increasingly complex distribution landscape.

Geoff Stedman, Chief Marketing Officer, SDVI, said:

“We’re really pleased to join the BASE & DEGI community at a time when collaboration across the Home Entertainment ecosystem is more important than ever. As media operations become increasingly complex, SDVI is focused on helping content owners and distributors simplify workflows, improve agility and scale more efficiently. We look forward to contributing to the industry dialogue and working alongside fellow members to support continued innovation across the media supply chain.”

DP World

DP World joined BASE in 2025, bringing global logistics expertise critical to the distribution and fulfilment of physical media.

Sam Clarke, Operations Director – Contract Logistics, DP World, said:

“As the owner and operator of the UK’s largest home entertainment goods distribution centre at Bicester, DP World understands the vital role that connected supply chains play in supporting industries as they evolve. Operating across six continents, with a global team of over 125,000 employees, our partnership with BASE will provide us with opportunities to engage with new partners across the home entertainment ecosystem, share expertise and contribute to conversations shaping the future of the sector. We continue to go from strength-to-strength across our warehouse and logistics business, recently marking our most successful World Record Day yet at our Bicester operation, so we’re proud to support the 2026 BASE Awards in November as a Premium Partner and look forward to recognising the outstanding achievements across the industry.”

Together, these additions continue to reinforce the increasingly connected, collaborative and forward-looking ecosystem that BASE and DEGI are building, bringing together partners across the full value chain to support sustainable growth in Home Entertainment.

BASE and DEGI Chief Executive, Liz Bales said:

“Welcoming this latest group of members reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of the Home Entertainment sector. From global media services and cloud-based supply chains to premium physical packaging and strategic communications, each organisation brings a distinct perspective that strengthens the overall ecosystem.

What’s particularly exciting is the momentum behind digital and physical formats respectively, and how they are increasingly valued as complementary drivers of audience engagement and revenue to the overall benefit of the full screen value chain. As the landscape evolves, the cross-industry collaboration championed through trade associations such as BASE and DEGI will help drive innovation, maximise value for content, and ensure long-term growth for the sector.”

The announcement comes amidst a busy 2026 programme, including the European DEGI Roadshow across Stockholm, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome and Munich; member insight forums; category reports; a sustainability workshop and the 2026 BASE Awards, taking place at The Londoner in November, with an expanded partner programme and new categories including Best in Class: SteelBook® Release.
