The campaign underscores a spirit of collaboration across the industry, and builds on the momentum of the highly successful DEG Roadshow in Rome earlier this year, which brought together key stakeholders from across the industry to analyse the scale and impact of Home Entertainment in the region. The DEG Roadshow will also return to Italy in 2026 with a packed agenda of insights and opportunities to drive further engagement.

Mega Movie Week will be backed by a broad press and media campaign, including activity on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and a recommendation partnership with JustWatch to deliver maximum exposure for all titles.

Andrea Cuneo, Country Manager Italy & Spain, JustWatch said: “We are pleased to take part in the Mega Movie Week. Initiatives like this play a key role in supporting and promoting the Italian film market, encouraging audiences to discover and enjoy the distributors’ titles. As the go-to platform for movie and TV lovers, JustWatch provides all the essential information to easily find their favourite content. Being chosen for a recommendation partnership is a source of great satisfaction for us, and we are confident that we can make a meaningful contribution to the success of this important initiative.”

Liz Bales, Chief Executive, DEGI said: “We are thrilled to announce Mega Movie Week in Italy, extending the success of our international campaigns and highlighting the strength of both EST and VOD. Through close collaboration between international and local partners, the campaign showcases the ease, value and accessibility of digital ownership and rental, giving Italian audiences more ways than ever to enjoy the movies they love.

Luciana Migliavacca, President of UNIVIDEO, said: We are pleased to support an initiative that places the viewer at the centre and responds to the needs of an increasingly diverse audience. The wide selection of titles included in the promotion enhances the cinematic experience at home: film is culture, it is emotion, it is a heritage to be experienced wherever and with whomever you want. Mega Movie Week therefore represents a concrete opportunity to connect people with the content they love, making the home cinematic experience accessible to everyone.”
