Digital Entertainment Group Nordic (DEGN) is a specialised local board and trade body within the film industry, supported by DEGI: The Digital Entertainment Group International. DEGN operates as a central hub in the Nordics—a region celebrated for its cutting-edge digital infrastructure.
DEGN is dedicated to the exploration, funding, and execution of projects aimed at enhancing consumer engagement with digital transactions, explicitly focusing on digital ownership (EST) and digital rental (TVOD). This industry body plays a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of digital transactional media in the movie industry.

Initiatives
The Nordic Market Overview Report establishes an annual pipeline of market reporting and analysis, showcasing the Nordic Digital Transactional Market on a local and global scale, and highlighting the growth initiatives of the DEGN.
The Film Hitlist is compiled from data gathered across all major regional digital retailers, including Apple TV, Blockbuster, Rakuten TV, SF Anytime and Viaplay Store. The Film Hitlist is the definitive, up-to-the-minute guide of what titles are trending in homes across the Nordics.
The Mega Movie Week promotion aims to drive digital transaction by rewarding already engaged audiences to grow their collection and watch their favourite movies again and again and to attract new customers through these limited-time prices.
2024 DEG Roadshow and Nordic Digital Entertainment Tradeshow (25th April)
The Nordic Digital Entertainment Tradeshow welcomed over 100 guests from 30 companies celebrating Home Entertainment with fresh insights and discussions.
We welcomed Amy Jo Smith and Jeremy Enos from the DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group based in the US, and various key retail and distribution players across the Nordics, including the event sponsors, PlayPilot and the Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
The event offered fresh local and international market data, highlighted consumer behaviour trends, and provided expert analysis, showcasing innovations that both addressed and harnessed opportunities. Additionally, we hosted retail panels and Q&A sessions with leading industry players and provided exclusive sneak peeks of upcoming content.
